Robin took her to build-a-bear for a birthday gift. She seems to like making those custom teddy bears.

Picchetti is a small winery nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains, an area that boasts a treasure trove of micro-wineries undiscovered by anyone but Silicon Valley locals. Picchetti makes a lot of award-winning Cabernet and a bunch of other Zinfandel wines which veer away from our palate, but we got this wine as part of a 4x per year wine shipment wedding gift (thanks to our Savory and Sweet pals Leanne & Vince!) and really enjoyed it -- well-balanced and fruit forward, without being overbearing.

Commissioned paintings are lifetime keepsakes that can be passed down for generations. Wayne is Hawai’ian and those are Ti Leis that we are wearing, made from the Ti plant (Cordyline fruticosa) . I had never heard of them before. Apparently that type of lei symbolizes good luck and prosperity and are traditionally worn for special occasions like weddings and graduations.

Well we got an early Christmas gift today. The Aussie in-laws (Lorna and Denny)phoned us to say that they are going to be here for a visit at Christmas.
