Happy Ever After? Not likely!
Were the fake diamonds a tip off that all was not well?
You'll have to click through to find out.During the easter vacation of my fourth year at University, Y and I (Y was now back in his homeland of Cambridge, back with his parents and doing a part-time job whilst following his beloved Cambridge United home and ... well, mainly home because he WAS only working part-time) went on holiday to the Cotswolds and during a visit to Cheltenham he bought me the engagement ring. The sapphire was real apparently. The diamonds must have been lookalikes as`the receipt I later found when clearing out his things was only for £49.99. They say it's the thought that counts - is that still the case with an engagement ring?!

Great Book!
I BelieveParents, have you seen I Believe? It’s the text of the Nicene Creed, illustrated by Pauline Baynes, who also illustrated the Chronicles of Narnia and much of Tolkein’s work. It’s fabulous! We are perma-borrowing one from the library until we buy one ourselves, probably as a Christmas gift for Kate.

Knit, Knit, Knit
If it's to be ready for Christmas, knit it now!
My mental lists of what I want and have to knit before Christmas continues to grow. I have several things to knit for the store and have three on needles already. I am hoping to knit a Rowan Botany 4ply vest for an old school friend in the UK as a Christmas gift and of course have ideas about a sweater for Alan……. I did manage to knit a short sleeve cotton sweater for my Mum and as it will be Summer at Christmas time her present is just waiting to be wrapped and mailed.

Rush around kind of a day
Water color pencils are a little off the beaten path if you want to make a holiday gift of art supplies.
Back home M continued drawing a detailed robot picture using some new watercolour pencils he got as a birthday gift. They are lovely and he spent ages drawing with them and blending the colours with a brush. He doesn’t choose to draw that often, but really enjoyed it today.
