Christmas Purses
This is a really great Christmas gift that you could give all year round.
Click through for more info on how to make these purses. The handmade Christmas gift of 2005 was a Megan-Guy collaboration, an unholy alliance of yarn and metal- the knit chainmail purse. I was originally inspired by this project on the blog Now Norma Knits, a knitted and felted purse with beaded handles. Beaded handles are nice, but I had a man with mad chainmail skillz I needed to exploit.

Sunday Garden Blogging
Love the Hershey's ChocolateI found that chair for $1 at a garage sale. The Hershey’s tin, which I think is just so cool, was a Christmas gift. (It took me and my coworkers like 3 weeks to eat all the chocolate in it.) A lot of these planters I made from the buckets cat litter comes in.

It's Happening
Good luck on the job change!
But D has been so generous with me for as long as I can remember. Tonight, I thanked him for spoiling me and for letting me spoil myself with consumer delights over the years. I know that as soon as we have comfortable cash flow again, he will loosen up the credit cards again and buy me more diamonds and let me shop up a storm.

iTunes Gift Card
The iTunesOn an unrelated note I used my ITunes Christmas gift card to download two albums by “The Brobdingnagian Bards” They are great. They are a bit like “They Might Be Giants” if They Might Be Giants were Irish and went to a lot of Renaissance Faires. Good Stuff!

Ready To Read
Here's a great wedding gift idea: write the ceremony.
I’m stunned - and humbled - and very pleased. I’ve worked hard on this. My wedding gift to them is the ceremony itself, and I’m glad it’s turned out well.

iPod And Wine
If you know someone with an iPodI passed my Real Estate class. Now I can take the test to get my license. Well, I have to wait a month, but then I can take it and hopefully pass it to get my license. I feel like going out and doing something yet at the same time I don’t want to go out and spend money and at the same time I feel tired and lazy and want to sleep while yet at the same time I’d rather sit out on the balcony with my ipod. I need to get some wine and then rock the iPod. That’s a good idea. I like that.

Ridiculously Belated
Better late than never.
I’m about 36 hours away from seeing Marissa tomorrow! Today I’ve got to do the little things like pack, get my haircut and go home for a nice dinner with the parents. My sister informed me I may not come home unless I bring my ridiculously belated Hanukkah gift I got her that I kept forgetting to give her. I have it in tow (along with alot of laundry that needs to be done as well). I just can’t wait for this day to end so it can be tomorrow so I can be with her again.

An American In Okinawa
Sometimes a wedding gift is difficult to use overseas.
I, on the other hand, was given a complete set of Good Housekeeping cookbooks
as a wedding gift from my mother. (Since I possessed very limited cooking skills, she had hoped to spare Taki’s stomach.) Although the gesture was well intended, the reality of the situation thirty years ago, when Taki and I were married, was that there was a very limited selection of Western- style food products available to the local market, in fact it was almost nonexistent. Instead, I learned to try and substitute various items. And although the food line has improved greatly, there still is a lack of most of the main products in local supermarkets.

Cheer Up A Blue Friend
Some good ideas to cheer up a friend in need.
Now, I just feel so alone, so … alone and it’s not a great feeling, I can tell you. I’m thinking it would be nice if someone give me a rose to cheer me up when I’m down, a rubdown when I’m feeling blue, a gift on special occasions like Valentine’s day and on my birthday which is coming up in March.

Remembering Birthdays On My Palm
Some palm reading advice: if you can't remember when to buy birthday gifts, maybe you should ask for a Palm z22However, by using my Palm z22 to list my contacts (and their birthdays) I can now receive a warning 7 days in advance, enough time to organise a card. For special occasions, like wedding anniversaries, I can set this to several weeks notice, allowing plenty of time to book a table at our favourite restaurant.
