Petits Fours
It's great when a wedding gift like a Kitchenaid mixer
can be put right to work!
so. Bikermommy’s money for our wedding gift arrived yesterday… which means i can finally pick up my Kitchenaid mixer! and B.J.’s has the Pro for the same price as others have lesser ones… so i’m getting the 5-quart Pro. i can’t wait to make petits fours with it!

Charge Everything
A post on using your credit card wisely and earning Amazon gift certificates.
As I mentioned, I like supporting Amazon, and I like earning free $25 gift certificates. When I say I charge everything, I mean everything. I charge as many bills as will let me, including power, cable, and my cell phone. Add in groceries, meals out (Chic-Fil-A, $5.22 for a #1 with no pickles is a constant on my statements), and any other imaginable chargeable expenses. I charge it all.

Seeing Stars
Nothing more romantic than a night with the telescope.
I gave Amazing G her birthday gift a few days before that: I named a star in the Pisces constellation after her. Naming a star would be pointless if you had nothing to look at the star with… so I bought her a telescope too! So we spent her birthday evening trying to assemble the telescope, and then trying to figure out how it works. We weren’t very successful. Apparently, it has to be calibrated in the day time first. Hmmm.
